Environment´s information

Owing to the proximity to the city of Ávila, it is very tempting to take advantage of the stay here to get close to see the great historical-artistic heritage and the gastronomy.
From Berlanas you can visit some of the most interesting places of the province, such as Árevalo, Gotarrendura (Museum López Berrón and Dovecote of St Teresa), Fort of Las Cogotas in Cardeñosa, Fort in Miranda de Chamartín and its Interpretation Centre of the Celtic and Vettona Culture. Lagoons El Oso, etc…
From the environment it is worth to highlight the Isabel’s route. In Madrigal de las Altas Torres it is the party “Madrigal Medieval” that it is celebrated each first weekend of August. Besides Madrigal is a Historical-Artistic Set. Arévalo, that it is also Historical-Artistic Set that also belong to the Isabel’s Route. Arévalo organizes its “Medieval Market” at the end of July.

Berlanas

Berlanas is located in the region of La Moraña, 10 km far away of Ávila and with good access by the motorway. In August the Fairy of Agricultural, Enjoyment and Products of the Land Machinery is celebrated. You can see the parish of the Assumption (XVI century) with its large size bell. In the municipality we find in La Aldehuela the hermitage of Conception, and in the Neighborhood we find the hermitage of Our Lady of the Anguish. From Berlanas you can visit some of the most interesting places of the province, such as Arévalo, Gotarrendura (Museum López Berrón and Pigeon loft of Saint Teresa), Fort of Las Cogotas in Cardeñosa, Fort of Miranda in Chamartín and its Interpretation of Celt and Vettona Culture, the Lagoons of The Bear, Ávila capital, etc…
